With all due respect to the Cypriot people, of which I am one, ‘Pets’ in Cyprus is not a priority. Unless an animal had a use, it was never respected as a living thing that deserved to live a life. Cats and Dogs were seen more as a nuisance, and more importantly, an extra expense. Things are getting better, but we still have a way to go before things are at an acceptable level.
I was prompted to write this short story, when a puppy Mini – Pinscher was abandoned and found its way to us.
It’s a true, heart warming story, that will appeal to all animal lovers. It’s ideal bedtime reading for your kids, but will also adults will find it entertaining and interesting.
