In one line the Mystery Factor is a thrilling action packed mystery romance with strong supernatural elements set on the Greek island of Scythia.

In a few more sentences it starts with Seb, a successful art dealer based in London whose marriage has suffered over the last 2 years due to his total emersion in the business. Is he going to lose the lovely Sue, his partner from University days?

His business partner, Nick, and a very good friend, forces him to take a holiday on the Greek island of Scythia (or could this be in reality Spetses?) Seb was hoping to take Sue with him but she turned him down in floods of tears.

On his first night in Athens, an overnight stop on his way to Scythia, he loses all his money and bank cards due to a scam by a prostitute in an incident he deeply regrets. His behaviour had become more erratic and out of character for some months and the break down was looming.

Nick comes to the rescue and organises money to be transferred so Seb can go on to the mystical island, the mystery island, of Scythia. The all healing land where anyhting can happen and usually does!

Within minutes of landing he is embraced by the atmosphere and the peoplee. Hospitality and good humour is the accepted norm for these charming rogues.

He settles in to his homely apartment, and soon comes across the msyetrious "Men in Grey"; two gentlemen who wear twenties style grey suits, homberg hats, ties, white shirts and very smart shoes. Not even the local bankers are dressed so formally. They appear and disappera very quickly at opportune moments, for Seb.

Within a day Seb is under the islaand throubi spell rushing about on a quad bike with no licence; "rules are made by fools to be adhered to by fools." He is soon nearly successfully seduced by a stunning wealthy widow, who is part of the Mafia. He is abducted, escapes, and meets more lovely ladies. Is this a test? If so ....well you must find out.

Will the Mafia send Seb to sleep with the fishes? Will he finally persuade Sue to join him on the island? Will the Men in Grey explain some of the psychic happenings? Or are they clever tricks?

A rollercoaster of a feelgood story where the wonderful Greek characters reveal the best side of human nature - and I have been to the island and enjoyed that warmth and kindness; I know the Men in Grey and I have enjoyed the throubi "madness." A page turner with a heart. In one line the Mystery Factor is a thrilling action packed mystery romance with strong supernatural elements set on the Greek island of Scythia.
