Huahuqui - an action/adventure novella by Gareth Worthington

Huahuqui, pronounced "Wow-Kay" is a old Quechua word. I won't say what it means, you'll have to read the book! I actually started writing the basis for the story when I was fifteen, some eighteen years ago, as part of a school project. But a movie, that shall remain nameless, came out that almost exactly mirrored the underpinnings of my writing and so I was put off for a long time!

At the heart of the story are numerous facts, strange anomalies and weird pieces of history that on their own make little sense. Over the years I have read the works of people like Graham Hancock and watched various documentaries on the huge jumps in human technological abilities. I combined these puzzle pieces with my own understanding of biology and evolution (I hold a PhD in comparative endocrinology) to create an alternate past for human civilization.

My books follow the adventures Kelly Graham, a narcissistic freelance photographer, who is inadvertently dragged into a covert government operation that has finally connected all the pieces of the alternate history and plans to change the world with the information.

Huahuqui received honorable mention at the New York Book Festival 2012 and a signed copy was requested the Prince of Monaco!
