In 1187 Saladin has Invaded the Crusader States. The Christian Military Orders launch a suicidal attack to route them and are quickly and easily decimated. But during the first battle, a sacred relic is lost, and one of the only survivors, Simon Nix, a Templar Knight, sets out on a journey to get it back.
The quest leads him to an ancient temple in an even older city on the outskirts of Outremer where a witch has been in residence for over a thousand years.
Simon doesn't believe in witches until he enters the Temple of Sin and finds Salome, who is in search of an entirely different relic, and she intends to use Simon to help her get it.
