Do your children like a good fantasy story, then they will love "The Dreamers"
When twelve-year-old Noah Mitchell's family moves him across the street from Maia Castillo, he never expects to meet someone who has been wandering through his dreams for years. Both children have been visiting the same mystical dreamscapes since they each experienced devastating loss, but they never realized these weren't ordinary dreams—they were glimpses into another realm entirely.
Now living as neighbors, Noah and Maia begin to understand that their shared dream experiences are more than coincidence. Together, they discover hidden passages between the waking world and the realm of dreams, uncovering an ancient threat that endangers both realities. As dark forces work to tear down the barriers separating these worlds, the two young dreamwalkers must learn to harness abilities they barely comprehend.
Armed with an inherited silver key that holds family secrets and guided by an unlikely mentor, Noah and Maia embark on a race against time. They must master their connection to the dream realm before everything they know crumbles. What started as childhood trauma has evolved into something far greater—a calling that could determine the fate of two worlds.
This contemporary fantasy blends rich, imaginative world-building with the authentic struggles of adolescence. As Noah and Maia navigate their powers and their friendship deepen, they discover that their bond may be the most powerful magic of all. The Dreamers is a captivating tale of resilience, friendship, and the extraordinary power that emerges when young people refuse to let despair define their story.

As a parent, I loved The Dreamers just as much as my kids did. It’s a quick, magical read that mixes fantasy with real emotions like grief and friendship. The story sparked great conversations and kept them turning pages. At just over 100 pages, it’s perfect for younger readers — fast-paced, meaningful, and full of wonder. Highly recommended.
