“‘The Sorrows of Young Mike’ is a deeply human story that explores one man’s struggle to find balance between his intellect and his libido, his compassion and his selfishness.”

This book was a labor of mine for over ten years before I released it into the world a year ago. People still refer to it as my book even though I don’t feel it belongs to me anymore. Because it is a parody of a famous novel, it has earned some attention and I feel blessed for that. It should be noted however that it does stand on its own and you should not feel inclined to read the former before reading this version.

As Goethe said about the book which I parodied, “There were special circumstances close at hand, urgent, troubling me, and they resulted in the state of mind that produced (this book). I had lived, loved, and suffered much... That's what it was.”
