Sophia Alexandria Mason (known as Sam to her close friends and family) had waited years to finally own her dream house. The old Victorian era house was finally hers, her business was running smoothly, she had a new dog and her boyfriend Jason was dropping hints that he wanted more from their relationship. Soon however, some things started to change. A new prospective client turned out to be an nightmare, her problem brother was back in town and the house renovations were encountering a few unexpected problems. It appeared that the house might have come with "a little something extra" that had not been in the sales details and when events continually bring the police to her door, Sam has to determine if the house is actually trying to help.
