The Moon Souls. An Urban Fantasy Short Story

Rina Grant is a France-based Russian author who writes in English. Her short stories appeared in Sorcerous Signals, Bewildering Stories, The Milky Way (Israel) and other spec fic publications. Last year, she finally attempted to write in her native Russian language, and her first novel, The Astronauts, is due to come out this July in Astrel, Russia's leading SF publishing house.

The Moon Souls was first published in Sorcerous Signals, 2007, as The City of Eternal Hope.

Bhasset, a female demon, seeks friendship of a little boy called Tim in order to make him the new puppet ruler of the human race. But Tim sticks with her only to rescue his mother, a prisoner in the demonic City of Eternal Hope.
