Blue Bayou ~ Book I: Fleur de Lis is available on Amazon.com/Kindle, free on March 17, 2014 only.
As a young girl (a very, very young girl, mind you ~ maybe 3 months old/okay, maybe not), I fell in love with the film musical Naughty Marietta. The film is in black and white, which should give away how old it is (but not, of course, how old I am). Its premise of the Casket Girls who comes to colonize New Orleans ~ and the French countess, masquerading as a Casket Girl, to escape a contrived royal marriage, stayed with me all these years (I am not counting how many); so Blue Bayou ~ both Books I and II ~ follow that premise from 1683 to its conclusion in 1803 with the Louisiana Purchase and takes place in lands claimed by the French - from Canada to Acadia (Nova Scotia) to Algeria to Louisiana. I will admit to spending a great many of my years in researching Blue Bayou and am delighted with its authentic background. If you enjoy reading it, please, please let your friends know about both Books I and II and give it a review on Amazon.com. Thank you.
