The world is on the brink of descending into oblivion because a planet from another galaxy rampaged through the Milky Way, causing unimaginable death and destruction.
But the most terrible consequence of its passage, is the radiation it spewed forth, has rendered all women infertile. No babies are being born to balance out the deaths that are occurring, and no cure is on the horizon. A plane, carrying a group of scientists to a symposium in Rio de Janeiro, crashes in the Amazonia jungle of Brazil. The only survivors are a husband and wife team of biologists who now find themselves guests of a tribe of indigenous people, the world knows nothing about. Here, in this primitive village, the planet had no effect. Life is continuing with babies being born, and unless the doctors can find a way to tell the world, this race of brown-skinned people is destined to be the sole inheritors of Earth. One year later, they are rescued and begin the arduous task of finding a cure for infertility, using their knowledge from the jungle, before Armageddon.
