Charles Fischer Manheim and Hans Jones Jr.:  these two colleagues have very different personalities, yet they are the closest of friends.  When an unprecedented gravitational anomaly is detected near our solar system’s asteroid belt, these explorers are dispatched for a close-up investigation. Climbing aboard their trusty speeder Orpheus, they leave earth behind not knowing that things won’t quite be the same upon returning.

The Strasburg Cauldron, as the anomaly comes to be known, consists of two enormous swirling gravity loops.  Underestimating the strength and reach of this cosmic cauldron, they watch in awe as the dwarf planet Ceres is inescapably drawn into it, swirled around again and again gaining unprecedented speed with each loop, to the point of blasted beyond the speed of light.

Also enlisted for help is CJ Cooper, affectionately nicknamed “Calamity Jane,” who works at the Phelps Research facility in White Sands, New Mexico.  CJ personally oversees the Dark Matter Scope, a marvel of science and engineering, which proves to be of great assistance to our explorer-duo.

Set some 200 years into the future, The Collision of Planets is an original, science fiction thriller that's grounded with an undying friendship.
