A cauldron of trouble of trouble is brewing in Vallaoria.

Lodestone, weaves a tale between two women, born generations apart, but linked by blood and magic. One must right the wrongs of the other.

An anti-witchcraft militia, Lauren's Order is on the warpath, intent on obliterating all things magical. Sabrina, a newly fledged healer, as the last descendent of Lauren the Destroyer, is the only one left who can destroy the Lodestone and restore magic to the witches before they're all slaughtered, but the Lodestone is buried deep within the heart of the Order's headquarters. How can a lone girl prevail against an army?

Excerpt: Lauren

Me ears pricked up like a fighting dog's. "Vengeance?"

His next words insinuated themselves inside me like a burning cancer. "Wouldn't you like revenge on the witches?"

Hunger for retribution overwhelmed me senses and I couldn't restrain the eagerness in me tone, I licked me lips and begged, "How?"

He extended a hoof to me. "If you want to know then come with me."

Later, I'd wish that I hadn't done what I did next, but I reached out and took his hoof, vowing that if I couldn't have Adorabelle back then vengeance would do.

Excerpt: Sabrina

Something thumped at the far end of the hall. Sabrina stopped and listened … thump … her feet drew her closer to the noise … thump. No light flared from any portraits as she edged towards the back of the hall. She peered into the shadows, jumping as the noise intensified into a continuous thud. Suddenly, she remembered the location of the upside down portrait. She didn't want to be anywhere near Lauren of Maple Farm so she turned to flee, but a phosphorescent hand leapt out of the frame and grasped her hand. The touch was like ice. Sabrina screamed.

Editorial review - "It is an excellent story, making it very difficult for the editor/proof reader to actually stop and proofread instead of finding out what happens next!

The story flows well with lots of suspense, gruesome stuff, some very funny passages and evoking a real desire on the part of the reader, to turn the page and find out what happened next."
