"LITTLE BOOK OF BITCHES" An Illustrated Guide to the bitches in your life by Wendy L'Belle

KDP Free promo start date: October 25, 2012 - end date: January 22, 2013

The world is filled with Bitches.  They are everywhere.  Not only do they come in all shapes and sizes, they can be found in multiple dimensions as well as hiding in well-manicured front yards.
(Nevermind, that's my own issue.)  The shocking truth is, we are surrounded by Bitches!  What we have in common is a quality:  Bitches are themselves without apology.
We are unstoppable individuals who stand up for what we believe.  (Sometimes we sit down too, but hardly ever and only briefly to rest our feet.)

Maybe you're an anti-bitch. I don't know what that is, but maybe you are it. Perhaps you have a negative stereotype of the word "bitch" stuck in your head.
This book will liberate the word from those who've held it hostage, by showing empowered, strong, funny, unique individuals and kicking that archetypes butt.
Yes, it makes fun of bitches too but that it the point, for us to all laugh at ourselves together.

"Little Book of Bitches" contains 25 very different illustrated bitches.  What makes them worthy of the time it took me to and study their contrasting behaviors was in a completely unbiased independent
study, (conducted by me),  I proved that within each Bitch is a perfect Bitch.  I took this test myself so I know what I'm talking about.

Perhaps you are not sure what type of Bitch you are.  Maybe you are an Awesome Bitch who knows EXACTLY who she is and
loves herself without restraint, but wants to find her friends' Bitch-types in this book for the sheer pleasure of the "point-and-laugh."
I won't judge (because I can't see you.) Either way, you can thank me for improving your life:  you are reading this book instead
of another bathroom tweet.

How do I know my Volume #1 "Not-a-Self-Help-Book" will improve your life?
Well, it won't cause you global embar-ass-ment, and it won't keep you in bed with your lover, chafing away the hours, like some books I won't mention here.
Plus it's fun to look at.  Have you seen the colors? Here you will find almost everyone you know.
(Disclaimer: Names and characters, are products of the author's imagination, any resemblance to actual people is just weird.)
If anyone is missing from this Guide it's because they are in Volume 2 and/or I haven't met them yet. Regardless, how many bitches
can you handle at once anyway?

I am hoping that by reading this book, you will find yourself here (and not draw mustaches on my artwork); that you will laugh,
relate, and feel empowered...knowing that whichever Bitch you are - you are your own Bitch.

Sanctuary - a suspense/romantic novel by Glyn Smith-Wild

It is the characters that make this book as well as the twists and turns of the storyline. Mainly set in France, the story centres around Ben Coverdale and the love of his life Mary Willson. Ben moves to France when the love affair breaks down, thinking that he can escape from his disappointments. It doesn't work out like that, and his past catches up with him in ways he could never have iamgined.

Hi, I'm Katie. Our author, Glyn Smith-Wild has said that we post some snippets from the book which feature us. This is on the night Dave and I returned from our honeymoon:

They went to bed early that evening. Once they were cuddled up together in bed, Dave was aware of Katie giggling, her whole body shaking, and then her laughing so much that at one point he thought she was going to choke.

'What's so funny?' he asked her.

'I was just remembering the last day of our holiday in that field,'she replied, tears of laughter running down her face.

Katie had been determined to find somewhere where they could have sex al fresco, something before now she had not managed to experience. They had driven miles around country lanes until they found a location which they both thought looked suitable. They found themselves in the narrowest of lanes so they had parked the car and made their way through a wide gate into a field which seemed to be far enough away from roads and footpaths for their needs.

They had crossed the field to the far side, where the field sloped away. Secluded by a hedge, Katie laid a blanket on the ground and after minimal foreplay, stripped off and made love with the sun shining down on them. What they didn't know was that just the other side of the hedge was where a group of fourteen and fifteen year old schoolboys were dropped off after school athletics. As the boys alighted from their bus they were aware of something happening on the other side of the hedge. Drawn by the squeals of delight emanating from Katie as she rode Ben cowboy style, first one and then the whole group went over to the hedge from where they could see everything going on. When the pair reached their noisy climax, there were hearty cheers from the boys.

The couple had calmly dressed, gathered up their things, and walked nonchalantly back to their car where they had collapsed in a heap of laughter. 'Well, that should help them with their biology,' Katie had said.

Hello, I'm Mary.  What an idiot you are, Katie. Of all the situations you get yourself into in the book, you have to choose a piece about your sexual antics. What you have shown has no bearing on the main story in the book at all. Anybody reading that will think that 'Sanctuary' is about sex, and we both know it isn't. Why didn't you tell them about Ben having to rescue you or something about Dave. Our author has written a book full of mystery and romance, and that is what he wants us to show future readers. Anyway, I just want to share a bit about me and Donald, the guy I left Ben for. I fell for him hook, line and sinker, but I had no idea what I was letting myself in for. He was weird - really weird, and I'm glad to be away from him. Of course all the details are in the book.

Tempted by her Student - an erotic novella by Paris Rivera

This book will be free on November 2 and 3. It is an exciting and very sexy read! The book is literate and raunchy account of the taboo relationship between a married teacher, Bella, and her daring and beautiful Latin student. They first meet on a train, when the girl behaves very seductively, half stripping for her fellow passenger while Bella tries (but fails!) to read her magazine. The girl leaves her card and soon they are meeting in 'office hours' - not quite the kind of supervision intended by the university authorities! The girl is determined that Bella should not keep their romance separate either from Bella's work life or her home life. It leads to more taboo-breaking sexual encounters and finally to a breathtaking and life-threatening denouement by the banks of the Thames. Enjoy!

Q7 -  Book One of the Quantum 7 Series by T.R. MacKie
What would happen if you were able to travel through space-time, and discovered you could change history with your thoughts?  Q7 is a suspenseful action adventure inspired by recent scientific research by CERN involving neutrinos.
One Customer Said:
I started reading this book because I was always interested in Quantum Physics due to my introduction of it during my math classes in college, which was many years ago. What I found in this book, was almost a plausible demonstration how one can experience time travel. This is NOT a book similar to H.G. Wells, Time Machine! It is more down to earth. I was impressed how the author eased me into the story and then glued me through the pages until the end. It was only after I had finished the book that I found it was supposed to be a young adult book! Sheesh, I never read young adult books except maybe Tom Sawyer and some of the other classics. There may have been some problems with structure but for a first novel this was not bad at all! I highly recommend this book, not only for young adults but for everyone. Well, there is one exception. Those looking for novels with steamy sex may not be interested, but even they should try reading this.

Ibex Proper - a thriller by Clemens Haltern

You drift through the air toward the ground, which is barely discernable from the dark sky. You must land on top of a cliff that overlooks a small settlement of adventurers in a remote corner of Utah's West Desert. Just before landing, a gust takes your parasail several yards past the cliff edge, threatening to smash you against the hard quartzite as the descent continues. At the last moment, you circle back and tumble across the hard regolith as the parasail collapses on top of you. You are safe...for the moment.

Kneeling, closing your eyes against the imminent death that will come from the automatic rifle that is pointed at your head, wielded by an international saboteur whose path you have unwisely crossed, you pray. Your ears begin ringing, until an all-encompassing roar blocks out all other sounds. Suddenly it is very cold, and gravity disappears. When you open your eyes, they cannot see. A flash flood has taken you.

Holding your breath, clutching at the ceiling of a submerged tunnel, kicking with your feet, trying to reach an exit, hope fades. Turning back will result in death, for a killer is in pursuit. The lungs begin to burn, and panic sets in. Just before drowning, you are pulled out of the water, then…unconsciousness.

Friends and family embark on a boat that is also a truck, journeying toward sanctuary.

Hanging from a dime edge on a huge quartzite boulder, blood oozes from your fingers.

Home is a tent in the desert. Life is a dialectic of peace and the extreme.

You are in the world of Ibex Proper.

Mascara Saturday A Novel by Carol Conn

A riot in Bloomingdale's!
Who is Shopper Zero?
Retail Enemy No. 1, worst ever Fashion Victim
or suffering from S.I.S. -- the latest trendy disease?

Protect yourself. Read the book.

About the Book

Rachel Holtner is your average New Yorker whose life took a strange turn. It started out as just another winter Saturday. A leisurely morning abed with husband and coffee, a quick stop at Bloomingdale's, and then the movies. What could go wrong?

By day's end, Rachel Holtner's been arrested for felonious assault and inciting a riot. She's been hospitalized for an acute allergy attack (by perfume). As if that weren't enough, Rachel soon discovers she's suffering from a previously unknown genetic disease: Shopping Impairment Syndrome (S.I.S.).

The symptoms are claustrophobia, impatience and an inability to tolerate delays or inefficiencies. Unfortunately, this Disease du Jour manifests most commonly in department stores and shopping malls, hence the name. Its primary victims: affluent, educated, pre-menopausal women in their prime earning and spending years.

S.I.S. is the medical creation of Dr. Now (a.k.a. David Halberman, M.D.), a brilliant opportunist who's hell bent on fame and fortune. Dr. Now uses his findings to terrify the Retail Federation of America (i.e. every department store across the country) as it scrambles to protect market share. The notion of women going berserk in department stores is guaranteed to generate ulcers and sleepless nights for retail executives.

Maximizing their bottom line fears of an S.I.S. epidemic, Dr. Now extorts millions of dollars in research grants to stem this perfidious affliction. In Rachel, he's found the prototypical Shopper Zero. Along with six other women arrested on the day dubbed by the press as Mascara Saturday, Rachel is forced to attend Dr. Now's lame recovery program for impaired shoppers. (“My name is Rachel, and I hate to shop.”)

But Dr. Now soon finds that uppity women are not nearly as docile or cooperative as laboratory animals. His prescription for their recovery proves to be the formula for his own downfall.

Outside his clinic, the tabloids have a field day with Rachel’s depressingly normal life. Long lost acquaintances and friends emerge to give Rachel a far more scandalous history than she could have possibly lived. Her new found celebrity proves irresistible to spurned boyfriends searching for their 15 minutes of fame by association.

They’re not the only ones who want a piece of Shopper Zero. Muscling in on Rachel’s criminal and civil travails is the legendary litigator Catherine “Madcat” Bingleigh, a lawyer who proves as manipulative and narcissistic as Dr. Now.

Can Rachel and the rest of the Shopping Seven finesse a victory over Dr. Now? Is there life after tabloids? The answers to these and other metaphysical questions are revealed in Carol Conn’s novel, MASCARA SATURDAY.

An Eye For Danger a romantic suspense by Christine M. Fairchild

"An Eye For Danger" is my debut romantic suspense as an indie author, which is to say I've thrown myself into the lion's den! Thank God it's getting rave reviews and 5-star ratings on both Amazon and Goodreads (and no, I don't pay for reviews--these are real readers giving sincere feedback, so every positive review is a surprise to me).
My favorite part of this story is that Sam, an undercover detective who's in disfavor, and Jules, a former war photographer with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, come together with their all their crazy, self-destructive baggage. What I feel is sexiest and edgy about this dynamic is that it's not so much a power struggle between the hero and heroine as a "who can play with fire better" rivalry. Talk about 2 people who can get themselves in a bushel of trouble!
But my next favorite element is the character Stone, Sam's personal nemesis. Even my husband loves this gritty, megalomaniac character and the smoothness of his charm. You never know which side of the game he's playing, yet you know he's the best player on the field. Let's just say there are no dull characters, no predictable moments in this roller coaster ride.
5-STAR READER REVIEW: "If you're looking for an engrossing story that doesn't slow down, you couldn't do better than than to jump into this thriller about Jules, a former wartime photojournalist with PTSD, and Sam, a cop so deep undercover you wonder if he can climb out with rappelling gear..."
5-STAR READER REVIEW: "Finally an author who not only got 'it' right, but is, hands down one, of the best writers around. Christine hooked me with her characters but sealed the deal when she got the lingo and details right. My only question is - when are we going to be able to get our hands on her next book?"
5-STAR READER REVIEW: "Great read and very hard to put down. I can't wait to read more about Julie,Sam and Max.. If you like action packed reading then you will really enjoy this book."

Eating Diamond Pie - an action adventure comedy by David Thorpe

Ever been tempted? I mean really tempted; tempted to the point you convince yourself there is simply only one option open to you?

Ever blurred the edges of need and want?

Ever been to war in Africa ….and found yourself laughing?  Tom has ….

Tom is slap bang in the middle of someone else's civil war in West Africa. It is, however, still far better than being back in London in his own personal and very uncivil war.  Desperate to fund a quiet life on the Devon Moors, Tom's quest for money, together with an insane relationship with an Irish Catholic lesbian and a Russian UN Colonel, bring his two worlds crashing together in an explosion of drugs, guns, diamonds, dead goats and strip wax.  A riotously funny black comedy seen through the eyes of the author, who spent a year in Sierra Leone helping the fledgling Army fight a brutal civil war against the rebels of the Revolutionary United Front – and never once found the need to use strip wax himself.

Pick of the quotes:

" …. I loved the pace of this book with its mix of subtle intelligent humour, quick fire dialogue and laugh out loud slapstick; I'll never be able to go into a bank again without smirking – never thought I'd be able to say that!"

" …..like Nick Horby meets Andy McNab.  In fact, more like Nick Hornby and Andy McNab meet Mr Bean in a dodgy bar in West Africa and someone pulls out a gun and some strip wax! – hilarious; loved it; more please."

"…. a great debut and, despite the 'purely fictional' disclaimer at the start, if this guy was out there helping to fight the war, I'm left wondering how much of this stuff might actually be true …..hmmm!?"

It is, of course, purely fictional. Honest.

The Pursuers of the Supernatural (POTS) - a supernatural thriller novel by David A Marino

"…because of the fact that [POTS] was brave enough to go into the Center at night, and since [they] weren't there to vandalize the property, I have to say that I'm almost proud of [them]."

—Adolescent Center Property Owner

"…[they] argue, [they] fight, [they] pick at each other, [they] waste time, and [they] get sidetracked. I'm not sure how much supernatural investigating actually gets done, and sometimes I think that [they] probably miss the important evidence because [they're] too self-absorbed. But that's why I like [POTS]. That's why I'm investing in [their] services."

—Richmond, Virginia Apartment Renter

"…and whether or not [POTS] realizes it, whether [they] believe it or not…assembling a team of perception-sensitive individuals at the ranch was our last chance...and it worked."

—Southwestern Virginia Bed & Breakfast Owner

When two young children at the wake of a family member claim to have seen the recently deceased, six intrigued friends decide to form a group of investigators (POTS) based on their piqued curiosity. The gang probes an abandoned train tunnel and scene of a gruesome accident, a ramshackle house where an abduction once took place, a deserted asylum for unstable children in which questionable methods were practiced, an old inner-city apartment building making unexplainable sounds, and a horse ranch from which animals have vanished without a trace. Throughout their exploits, POTS transforms from anonymity to slight infamy, evolving from being ill-prepared and disorganized to being requested for services. Their escapades include encounters with police, multiple escapes from a psychopathic stalker, and, of course, evidence of the supernatural. The Pursuers of the Supernatural documents the comic misadventures of this group of friends in their inexperienced attempts to find proof of life after death.

Freestyle Love - a Contemporary Romance novel by Marcus Lopés

Happily ever after? Pfft! Some would say the path to true love is never easy. And even the greatest love may not be enough to move the hearts of men.

When it comes to one-night stands, Malachi Bishop has "rules". No pillow talk. No sleeping over. No planning a future hook-up. First names only. It's just sex, not a prelude to love. But when Cole Malcolm, a smooth-talking management consultant, woos Malachi into bed, the rulebook is tossed out the window.

The one-time fling leaves Cole reeling: Malachi is his first real shot at happiness, his "forever" man, and he's determined to show Malachi just how good they could be together. But Malachi doesn't believe in happily-ever-after, and dodges Cole's play for his heart. After all, Malachi is still mourning the loss of Taylor Blanchard, whom he hoped to love forever. Then there's Zach Brennan, a handsome twenty-five-year-old and student at the college where Malachi teaches. Falling for Zach could destroy everything he's worked for, but Malachi can't help himself.

Caught by love and in its betrayal, it's a later affair with a beautiful stranger that changes Malachi's life most dramatically. Now Malachi must confront his present and his past that bring into question the larger fantasies of home and his place in the world.

"The City can be either a geographical location or a concept which exists in the dream (or nightmare) of individuals. As human souls traveling through time and space, we all carry with us emotions for survival. These emotions show up as love, hate, trust, ambition, and passion. How each is expressed depends on the people around and the land from which personal and collective identities are formed and performed.

VICTIMS OF THE CITY is a collection of short stories about love, life, lust, romance, relationships; the pains and sufferings of heartbreaks, cheating, lies, deceits and letting
love go: told in an amazing prose style by one of the most engaging story tellers and prose writers of this generation: Azuka Jebose Molokwu. VICTIMS OF THE CITY would tear jerk your heart foundation and leave you with melting imaginations.

VICTIMS OF THE CITY  takes random shots at human foibles and fantasies. It goes into the mind and hearts of characters without too much of psycho-analysis. It titillates as it creates scenes that can only sprout in the fertile imaginations of a writer like Azuka Jebose Molokwu, a many times winner of awards for entertainment journalism.
Those who know Azuka can tell you how passionate he becomes when telling a story. He becomes one with his stories despite his attempt at creating a social distance between him and his subjects.
I recommend this collection of short stories that move the heart, to all lovers of good prose and words that dance on a page like the best ballerina would on a shining stage."

Shane knows she’s not to blame, and it has nothing to do with the primal urges she stirs within him. Working together, they must stop the hostilities from going over the edge. Trouble is, the desires raging between them might prove more dangerous than the surrounding threats.

I'm just a girl who reads too much and day dreams about a more exciting life. Then, out of nowhere I'm being shot at, tortured, and chased.

What's worse is that a prophecy has been made: If Marcus, the team leader, and I unite, it will bring about the end of the world. So, Marcus is trying to stay away from me. Well, that's fine. I have no feelings for him whatsoever.

I mean, its not like my heart races every time he enters the room. I don't think about him or his perfect in every way girlfriend. And my heart does not ache every time I watch them kiss...
